DIAZ Architecture

Geo D is a concept of a high-rise building,  proposed for a contest based in Barcelona.  The idea is to use some of the Barcelonian design innovation and mix it with the preservation codes the city requires it also is to honor the life and contribution to architecture for the most famous city architect Gaudi, using the proportions of a columella shell as the great master used the proportions of nature.

 

Consist in the idea of creating open public spaces held by a private landlord, with the purpose of making an iconic shape of the skyline.

 

The project has an artificial lake and a park, that covers the parking garage at ground level.  the idea of the park is to offer a community sense to the tenants and users, with the possibility to make public events.

 

The shape of the building holds a simple structure covered by a curtain wall design, that allows the light to transit easily from the outside to the interior.
